đ¨What project are you working on that youâre most excited about?
I am most excited about the opportunity to bridge the work I do as Chief Compliance Officer and general counsel at a tech startup to the Web3 space! Evangelizing ethics while promoting females in the Web3 space is something I am extremely passionate about. Over the last year, I have been exploring web3 and have finally found my âgrooveâ in creating ethics content in a series I am calling âEthics with Schmupergirlâ.  Additionally, I am very excited about a show and a community I co-found with 2 amazing women (Amanda DiGuardia and Sara Jones) which is growing.!  VeeGinaz was created in July of 2021 when 3 of us went into our own room on ClubHouse to discuss how tired we were of the bro culture within the NFT space. We constantly being spoken over and frustrated that many female community memberâs projects were being overlooked and ignored.  What started out as the 3 people making jokes about all of this and complaining, grew legs, FAST!  Many other women in the community felt the same way and asked us to make a regular show. Thatâs how 3 VeeFriends created a show and community called VeeGinaz!
đWhat makes you feel visible?
I feel visible when I shine light onto others. My purpose is to share my story and help people share theirs in the process. When we share our stories we allow one another to feel visible. There is tremendous value in being able to relate with another person's experience. There's also nothing better than feeling equipped to make better choices because we have learned something valuable from another person's experience. Â
đIf you could connect with one woman, who would that be and what would you say?
I'm going to cheat and pick 2 because they inspire me equally: 1. Brene Brown. I love her research on shame and vulnerability. I think she provides some of the best advice available on how to lead while embracing our best attributes and growing in true emotional intelligence. 2. Glennon Doyle. She has inspired me both as a bold woman and a parent to embrace the hard things as hard but to persevere. Her relationship with herself and the universe is truly admirable. Hey Brene and Glennon- lunch? Â
đąWhat piece of advice would you give to your younger self?
Not everything is about you. Being an empath and a person who cares about legit everything, I would love my younger self to understand that the choices other people make are about them and what they are experiencing, not me.Â
