đ¨What project are you working on that youâre most excited about?
Iâm super excited about this project titled âThe B-side of the vinylâ. A documentary about women in music from the â600 until today. Itâs more than a documentary, itâs a movement and the way the story is told is different! Women have been inVISIBLE for a very long time in many fields but because I love music I focused in this field. Although we see more and more women reach success, the music business is still a menâs world and thatâs the reason I wanted to tell the story showcasing incredible talents often time in the shadows. Itâs my labour of love and as Gloria Steinem once said: "We have always been an equal part of the past. We just haven't been a part of history.â
Today I say:
âLetâs make history!â
đWhat makes you feel visible?
My creativity is my outlet and it is when I create that I feel the most visible.Â
đIf you could connect with one woman, who would that be and what would you say?
This is a tough one has there are lotâs of names that come to my mind, but at this point in my life Iâll have to choose Barbra Streisand. Part because Iâm emotionally attached to her music and all the âmemoryâ that I hold tight into my heart but also because I admire her tenacity, creativity and her hugeeeee talent. Iâll have to ask her how she got to make it as a director in a world ruled by men followed by thousands of more questions.
đąWhat piece of advice would you give to your younger self?
Always remember that to be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else will be your greatest accomplishment. Itâs a quote I read a while back from R.W. Emerson that I found very profound and true.
