đ¨What project are you working on that youâre most excited about?
I canât share new projects just yet, but Iâm excited about a recent partnership with American Express at our Billboard Women in Music Awards. Every year we invite real female executives who are making strides in the music industry to be honored and watch A-list female artists perform. American Express awarded H.E.R the Impact Award for her work to create social change. They also gave gift bags to all the female executives and inside were products from black women-owned small businesses and their information to buy more. Lastly we invited the small business owners to also experience the show themselves, network, and they were so grateful to Billboard and American Express for that experience. It was lovely to connect with them, hear their stories, and amplify their businesses through this partnership.
đWhat makes you feel visible?
When I can be consultative with my clients and sell them on a partnership that is unique to them and helps them achieve their goals itâs the best feeling. I love coming up with creative partnerships and ideas. Then having the client trust me on the idea, buy it, and watch it come to life makes me feel visible.Â
đIf you could connect with one woman, who would that be and what would you say?
My dadâs mother Barbara. Every woman has added so much to my life in many different and unique ways and she is the only female figure I never got to meet. Iâd ask her for her biggest life advice and I have no doubt it would be special in its own way.Â
đąWhat piece of advice would you give to your younger self?
Go after what you want and you donât need permission from anyone to do so
