🔨 What project are you working on that you are most excited about?
There are quite a few projects that I'm very excited about. I was onboarded into the NFT space in December, only about two months ago. It feels like 2 years ago given how fast this space moves! I have been loving the learning process and meeting some many amazing, talented people in the NFT community. I'm an ambassador for the Remarkable Women NFT collection and Communications Manager for The Royals, a project launching next month (March 25) to showcase African culture and provide authentic in-real-life (IRL), experiences across the continent. Our first experience will be a trip to Ghana in December. Representation matters and I can't wait for this project to show people - both within the African diaspora and outside of it too- how truly beautiful, majestic, and worthy they are. The artwork for the project is by the incredibly talented Leah Sams, and @MsCryptomom1 is one of the project advisors. I'm passionate about onboarding more women and minorities into Web 3/ NFTs. I love to invest in, collect, be part of, and support projects that are focused on this mission. I am also working on a passion project called Her Wallet Media, to provide financial education and resources to help women build our net worth, network, and self-worth. I create educational content about investing, mindset, wellness, and career exploration.
👀What makes you feel visible?
Something that makes me feel visible is expressing myself creatively through writing, public speaking, and advocating for the causes I'm passionate about. By putting myself out there, I can be a role model to other people, especially other women like myself who are finding or have found their voice and want to amplify it.
🌈 If you could connect with one woman, who would that be and what would you say?
I would love to connect with Randi Zuckerberg. First, I would thank her for being such an inspiring leader in the NFT space and offer to support her new HUG Accelerator program. I admire how she champions other women and women-led projects and uses her social capital to uplift others. She truly embodies the "we're all gonna make it"/ WAGMI/ abundance mindset that makes this community so amazing.
🌱What piece of advice would you give your younger self?
I love this question. If I could meet my younger self, first I would give her a really big hug and also a journal full of advice, reflections, affirmations, and lessons I've learned over the past few years. Some key ones: Don't self-reject. Take a chance on yourself and your dreams/goals. You don't have to have it all figured out; the fun part of the journey of life is exploring and figuring it out as you go. There's so much adventure and joy that is ahead of you. You are more than enough - exactly as you are and your worth as a human being isn't determined by external factors like grades, the number on the scale, likes, followers, etc. None of those determine your worth. Redefine what 'beauty' means. Beauty radiates from within: your character, compassion, empathy, and kindness.
There's more but it could be a novel 🙂
I just turned 22 last month and it makes me so happy to think about how my 11-year-old self would be so proud to see the woman I'm becoming.
