For those who missed it, we want to do a special shout out to Taylor Swift. On Wednesday, May 18th, Swift delivered the commencement speech to NYU’s class of 2022. Many already consider Swift a feminist role model and this speech further solidifies her as such, especially when viewing feminism as humanism. The words she shared with graduates demonstrate her desire to empower all. There were so many nuggets, it was hard to know what to use for our Visible Women reel. We decided to focus on her advice referring to all as ‘literary chameleons’ and empowering all to write their own story. Although Swift may not have realized she was giving a speech about the experience of entering web3, we believe she accomplished that goal. (please click on the image to watch the reel)
